In this 4-5 week program, we unlock the power of your social media with the same process I’ve used to build audiences for myself, brands and individual creators — I think of it like downloading 10 years of experience into your brain over the course of a month!
By the end of the program, you’ll have a complete roadmap for telling your story on any platform: what content to create, how to create it, and how all of it will ladder up to your business objectives.
The format is a series of 60-minute meetings via video conference, with some homework for you after each meeting:
STEP 1: DEFINE THE GOAL
Social media for its own sake is directionless. First we answer the simple (but crucial) question: Why are you doing this? What exactly does success look like? What specific business objectives will you achieve?
Deliverables: A crystal clear vision statement with metrics to precisely define success
STEP 2: CRAFT THE STORY
What is the overall story you’ll be telling, and how does it ladder up to the goal? What are key talking points, and what are the emotional triggers and “reasons to believe” that will make it stick with your audience?
Deliverables: A short, 1-paragraph version of your big story; the 3-5 key talking points you’ll be emphasizing & the corresponding “reasons to believe” for each of those
STEP 3: CONTENT CALENDAR
With the big picture clearly defined, we create a monthly content plan to find the right mix of platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, podcast, blog, email, etc) and content types (video, photo, text, audio).
Deliverables: A calendar for your first month of content with a list of exactly what you’ll post, on what platform, and when; Gear list (hardware and software) of the tools that are right for you
STEP 4: CREATE TOGETHER
Finally, we’ll co-create the first few pieces of content together (specifics depend on your budget) so you’ll hit the ground running.
Deliverables: Brainstorming sessions and/or feedback on your ideas via text/phone/video chat
